Our Story – The Origin of Meriche Haute Couture

Meriche Haute Couture was born from the dream of Vanessa Prieto, designer and founder of the brand, who decided to combine her passion for children’s fashion with a clear purpose: to revive the elegance of craftsmanship and offer unique designs that tell stories.

From its beginnings in Guadalajara, Spain, Meriche has grown into a high-end children’s fashion brand, faithful to its core values: exclusivity, sustainability, and tradition.
After several collections, a strategic pause allowed the brand to redesign its business model — improving profit margins and positioning itself in markets with high purchasing power, all while maintaining its artisanal essence.

Each garment is conceived as a small work of art: a limited edition, crafted in Spain with noble fabrics and handmade processes that preserve traditional techniques at risk of disappearing.

Today, Meriche is present in countries such as China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, and Chile, thanks to a distribution network that combines direct-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce with international wholesale to multi-brand boutiques (B2B).

Recognized with the Internationalization Award (Accésit) by AJE Castilla-La Mancha, and having participated in events such as Guadalajara es Moda, Meriche stands as a brand with soul, global vision, and strong roots.

Meriche is not just children’s fashion. It is legacy, it is art, and it is purpose.
